Training of Trainers Workshop on Alcohol and Drug Prevention
The successful completion of the 3rd Training of Trainers Workshop on Alcohol and Drug Prevention, held on the 27th and 28th of January 2025 at Galnewa, Anuradhapura. This impactful workshop was organized by Ramya Lanka in collaboration with Healthy Lanka, Sri Lanka Jama'athe Islami, and the Galnewa Divisional Secretariat.
Objectives of the Workshop are to train a dedicated team of local trainers in evidence-based drug awareness and prevention strategies. And to empower participants to design and lead community-based drug prevention programs.
The workshop brought together 35 committed participants who are poised to create a positive impact in their communities. Through interactive sessions and practical activities, they gained valuable skills to address the growing challenges of substance abuse.
Our heartfelt gratitude goes to Mr. Chamika Jayasinghe, whose passion and expertise as a resource person inspired and empowered the participants. We also extend our sincere thanks to Mr. G.M.K.R. Priyadarshana, Divisional Secretary of Galnewa, for facilitating and supporting this event, along with the staff of the Galnewa Divisional Secretariat.
A special shout-out to the dedicated volunteers of Ramya Lanka and Sri Lanka Jama’athe Islami, whose tireless efforts and commitment ensured the success of this workshop.
