In a significant initiative under the "Elders for Tomorrow" project, themed "Empowering Elders, Enriching Futures," a highly successful EYE Camp was organized at the Jamiul Al Fariya Jumma Mosque in Madampe. The event was organized by RAMYA LANKA, collaboration with Sri Lanka Jama’athe Islami, and the Jamiul Al Fariya Jumma Mosque, aiming to provide essential eye care services to the community with a special focus on empowering elders.

The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from 200 beneficiaries across all communities. The camp not only identified eye-related issues but also provided necessary solutions, including free spectacles for those who over 65 years of age. Additionally, 17 cataract cases were identified, ensuring timely medical intervention and treatment for the affected individuals.

This initiative is a cornerstone of the broader "Elders for Tomorrow" project, which addresses the challenges faced by the elderly population while fostering intergenerational harmony and community well-being. By offering accessible eye care services, the EYE Camp significantly improved the quality of life for participants and underscored the importance of collaborative efforts in meeting community health needs.
