It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to the newly launched Ramya Lanka website! On behalf of our Board of Directors and the entire Ramya Lanka team, we extend our sincere gratitude for your interest in our mission.
As a nonprofit, apolitical, and non-governmental organization operating within the legal framework of Sri Lanka, our vision is to build a prosperous country with a flourishing future. Our activities are designed to enhance human well-being and welfare by fostering compassion, unity, and a shared responsibility to promote peace and happiness for all. We envision a future where every person is valued, respected, and empowered to lead a fulfilling life. We believe that every individual deserves dignity and integrity, which can be achieved through inclusive, action-oriented, collaborative, and sustainable interventions.
Over the past few years, we've made significant progress toward our goals. For example, we have planted over 7,500 coconut seedlings across the country, implemented a home garden development program during the economic crisis (2022-2023), benefiting over 2,500 people, developed a fruit village, collected more than 1,000 pints of blood for the National Blood Bank and conducted a series of Training of Trainers programs and awareness development events on topics like the right to information, drug awareness, and good governance in local authorities.
Looking ahead, we're excited to continue our ongoing activities and launch many new interventions. Our most valuable asset is the network of people and organizations we've built through partnerships and collaborations over the past several years. Our priority is solving actual problems on the ground by addressing their root causes. We believe that together, we can make a difference.
